5 Small Businesses to Support this Christmas Pt.1

Okay so I have to self market a little bit here and I am going to add myself at the top here but this post really is about helping other businesses and highlighting some amazing people. So click here to head to my Etsy Store.

1. Modern Quilt Club

Lisa of Modern Quilt Club has so much to offer from monthly mystery quilt subscriptions, 2 annual retreats and she has newly launched a collaboration with quilt Designer Paula Steel to launch a new Quilt Kit. Treat the quilter in your life (or yourself) and you won’t be disappointed. I have personally attended her retreats and taken part in her mystery quilt subscriptions and have never been disappointed.

2. Citrus Book Bindery

I spent many years browsing the Citrus website drooling over the different option that Fran and Ian have available. In 2019, I finally purchased one and customized it with all the optional extras that I thought I would need. I don’t think I will ever purchased a notebook from anywhere else. The service is amazing and they even have an exclusive FB group for their customers. They will even make fully custom notebooks including imagery and designs for front covers (I totally want a Faerydae Stitches branded one), page colour, page number, paper type, binding style and so much more. Do you have a bullet journal lover, morning pages enthusiast, artist or budding author in your life? Then you don’t need to look any further for the perfect christmas gift.

3. Cult Pens

Cult Pens is my go to store for all my pen supplies including my Tombow ABT Brush pens, POSCA Paint Pens and Faber Castell Polychromos pencils. If you have an artist, bullet journal keeper, or analogue record keeper then look no further. Sign up to their newsletter and you will get all the latest deals that they are running as well.

4. Jessie Chorley

Jessie is an artist that utilises hand stitching, traditional embroidery, printmaking, collage and needle-turned appliqué techniques. She also has her own independent shop in London where she sells products she has made, embroidery kits and teaches classes. I really want to purchase one of her memory journals to use as a glue book or commonplace book because they are beautiful just like the rest of her range. Perfect gift ideas for journalers, writers, embroidery fans or collectors of beautiful thread art pieces.

5. Maria Treseder

Maria lives in Penzance and produces art prints using the Linoprint technique. She makes cards as well as wall prints inspired by the Cornish countryside, flora and fauna. Perfect for all those family members that you spent the summers on the beach with. Make sure you follow her on Instagram as well for all her new product releases.

And that is a wrap for today. Don’t worry I have many more to share with you over the next couple of weeks. Please note that these are just personal recommendations that I have used or have discovered in my own search for Christmas gifts. All photographs are from their own stores and I have no affiliate links to them. In fact, they don’t even know I am writing this so send my love to all of them if you happen to find the perfect gift.

See you on Saturday.
