This post is going to be a little disappointing in terms photographs because I don’t want to harass the recipient about taking photos. They have a baby! They have more important things to do. I did get a photo of the baby girl for whom this quilt was made and that will go in my personal journal of finished project.
The recipient of the quilt is South African so it seemed fitting to use my layer cake of Savannah by Gingiber for Moda Fabrics. The animal centres were created with the collection panel as I fussy cut the large images to the size I needed.
Then using the layer cake I created the borders. The backing was pieces of the remaining layer cake and the binding made from the pink cheetah print.
I kept the quilting simple and echoed both sides of the square seams. Perfect colours for a modern baby quilt and absolutely perfect for any animal lovers.
Apologies again for the lack of images,, this will improve of future projects.
